An honest benchmark you can sanity-check, and the next step that number implies.
SalarySavvy exists because most freelancers price by guessing, then hold that number for years without ever finding out what it should have been.
There is no survey and no panel behind these numbers. Each of 20 skills has a baseline hourly rate for a remote US freelancer, set from public freelance rate guides and platform rate ranges. Each of 25 locations applies a cost-of-living multiplier to that baseline. That is the whole model, and every page prints the assumptions it used. Baselines were last reviewed in April 2026.
Treat the result as a starting point you can sanity-check, not a number a client has agreed to.

SalarySavvy benchmarks are modeled, not surveyed. Each skill has a baseline hourly rate for a remote US freelancer, set from public freelance rate guides and platform rate ranges, and each location applies a cost-of-living multiplier to that baseline. Treat the result as a starting point for your own pricing, not a guarantee of what a client will pay. Baselines were last reviewed in April 2026.
